Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing sales activities across the Thai market, with a primary focus on Tirelli Srl and Unimac-Gherri Srl brands, where the main growth opportunities are currently concentrated, in addition to the company’s product portfolio. The role is strongly oriented towards business development, new customer acquisition, and consolidation of existing relationships, particularly within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the Thai market across the full product portfolio.
• Proactively identify and prospect new customers, with a strong focus on Tirelli and Unimac-Gherri solutions.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
• Own the full sales cycle: from lead generation and qualification to negotiation and deal closing.
• Act as the primary commercial point of contact for customers within the assigned territory.
• Collaborate closely with headquarters and internal technical teams to define the most suitable solutions.
• Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.
• Regularly report sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM tools.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales roles, preferably in packaging machinery, Food industry and/or Home & Personal Care sectors.
• Proven interest and/or experience in capital equipment / machinery sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business is considered a plus.
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Availability to travel more than 50% of the time within Thailand with occasional trips to headquarters in Italy.
• All reporting, customer data entry, and activity tracking must be managed exclusively through the CRM; therefore, strong proficiency with CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite is essential.
• Valid driving license.

Language Skills

• Native Thai speaker (mandatory).
• Fluent English (mandatory).
• Italian is considered a plus.
