We are looking for a 5 star Resort in South Sardinia a Conference & Event Manager This is a strategic and highly specialised role, responsible for managing and developing the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Events (MICE) segment of the resort. The Conference & Event Manager serves as the primary point of contact for corporate clients, agencies and event planners, building long-lasting professional relationships. The role ensures that all departments involved deliver excellence and an impeccable guest experience. The position also contributes to the growth and harmonious development of the team. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor key performance indicators for the department and implement expansion strategies to achieve required results;
- Prepare reports and forecasts on segment performance, proactively driving profitability;
- Assess the feasibility of each request by evaluating spaces, resources and availability, based on the period and aligned with shared strategic objectives;
- Manage team activities by assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members;
- Ensure flawless operational planning of each event, coordinating all related departments
- Foster collaboration with internal departments—Banqueting, F&B, Sales, Front Office, Housekeeping and Technical—to create innovative proposals and guarantee high-level, seamless execution;
- Ensure constant communication with clients before, during and after events;
- Supervise involved staff and monitor overall service quality;
- Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate results, customer satisfaction and opportunities for improvement;
- Collaborate with the Head Office Sales & Marketing team;
- Represent the resort at industry trade fairs, workshops and roadshows, promoting the events offering and strengthening brand visibility.
The role reports directly to the Director of Sales (DoS), coordinates the activities of the assigned team and works closely with all operational and commercial areas of both the resort and Head Office, ensuring an integrated, excellence-driven approach. The Conference & Event Manager works in synergy with Sales & Marketing to define and implement sales strategies with Banqueting and F&B to create and customise the gastronomic offering with Front Office to ensure outstanding guest reception and with the Technical department for event setups and audiovisual services. Through effective communication and continuous cross-department coordination, the role ensures flawless event execution and maximum client satisfaction. Regular interaction with senior management ensures alignment with the commercial and quality objectives of Resort.
Technical Skills - In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry and the MICE market;
- Excellent project management skills and experience handling complex events;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate the segment’s impact on total revenue;
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus;
- Proficiency in major event management software and CRM systems;
- Understanding of marketing and sales strategies applied to the MICE segment.
