WHY YOU’RE HERE
As a host, you have the responsibility of greeting all our guests with your amazing personality then escorting them to their tables, leaving them with a first-class impression of our busy restaurant. You’ll need to be positive, articulate and extremely organised, communicating clearly and adapting to the varied needs of everyone visiting the restaurant.
WHAT YOU’RE HERE TO DO
- Greet customers at the door and be positive, ensuring a great first impression at all times.
- Bid a fond farewell to ensure a positive lasting impression
- Manage the cloakroom in a tidy and efficient manner
- Organise the floor and seat guests where possible.
- Communicate clearly and proactively, passing on wait times to guests.
- Work with the waiting team and allocate guests their tables fairly.
- Set up and close down the host area according to JOCS standards.
- Learn all about the fresh ingredients, specials and cooking methods in order to explain them to our guests fabulously.
- Learn the food and drinks menus and retain a good knowledge of it.
- Work closely with all other departments within the restaurant team
- Answer the phone in a polite and timely manner, take and manage reservations through our booking platform and communicate any relevant information to the reservations manager and to the rest of the management team.
- Hear some amazing stories from our suppliers and relay their ethos and passion to our guests
- Maintain the Health and Safety and Jamie’s standards.
- Remain calm – our restaurants get busy.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
You are a fabulous ambassador for the brand who will greet every guest at the door, providing a world-class first impression. You’ll need to be positive, articulate and extremely organised, communicating clearly and adapting to the varied needs of everyone visiting the restaurant, plus you have the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. You are a team player who will be a key member of a motivated and successful team in a restaurant where no two minutes are the same.
