LGPS Central (LGPSC) Ltd is the FCA-regulated asset manager for eight local authority pension funds across the Midlands. LGPSC is jointly owned on an equal shares basis by those Partner Fund, and it is responsible for managing almost £45bn of their assets. It is one of eight Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) asset pools in the UK.

- Nottinghamshire Pension Fund
- Shropshire Pension Fund

LGPS Central is owned equally by all eight of its Partner Funds and is dedicated to the management of local government pension assets. LGPS Central manages assets across public and private markets both internally and through externally appointed investment managers.

We are looking for a highly experienced, organised and proactive individual to act as the first point of contact for the Chief Officers, managing correspondence and coordinating complex diaries. This includes prioritising and arranging meetings, preparing briefing materials, planning travel and accommodation, and maintaining efficient filing.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities also include supporting meeting logistics, assisting with visitor arrangements, and deputising for the Executive Assistant to the Chair and CEO when required. A flexible, reliable approach and a commitment to high standards are essential in this important role.
Key Responsibilities: - To act as a first point of contact dealing with correspondence and phone calls
- To proactively manage and coordinate the diary of the Chief Officers by prioritising and arranging internal and external meetings, ensuring appropriate briefing papers are prepared and provided.
- Plan and organise travel and accommodation when required
- Maintain effective filling and data storage including emails and retrieval systems ensuring the needs of the Chief Officers are met.
- To provide full personal assistant support by dealing with all correspondence and calls, minute meetings, taking messages and other administrative tasks as required to support the Chief Officers.
- Deputise for the EA to the Chair and CEO of LGPS Central Limited.
- Meeting preparation including room set up, lunch, agenda monitoring, collation of papers, printing & binding, scanning, photocopying.
- Purchase of office supplies
- Undertaking typing of documentation when required
- Effective administration support to the front desk and visitor meetings
- Any other duties within the scope and spirit of the role as directed by the EA to the Chair and CEO.
- Experience of providing high-level administrative support in a senior role
- The ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and a wide range of external contacts in a high pressure environment
- First class interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent, administrative skills including the ability to identify administrative needs and develop and maintain appropriate systems to meet them
- Strong literacy and verbal reasoning and proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); scheduling appointments/updating calendars.
- Ability to take accurate minutes, including being able to interpret and sum up complex discussions concisely
- Demonstrates initiative
- Self-starter/ability to use initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and within strict timescales
- Flexibility in working across a variety of tasks
- Highly organised & eye for detail.
- Shorthand/audio skills would be advantageous
Qualifications: - GCSE level or equivalent
- NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
