Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability. Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government.
The Venue Scheduler will be part of the Venue Development & Overlay (VDO) team for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. This role is responsible for developing and managing integrated schedules for the delivery of temporary infrastructure at both competition and non-competition venues. The scheduler ensures alignment with capital works and supports the overall program delivery, coordinating across multiple internal teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities: - Develop and manage Venue Integrated Schedules (VIS) with identification of key milestones and critical paths
- Ensure alignment between VDO suppliers, functional areas (FAs), and capital project timelines
- Monitor project progress, report risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
- Support the planning and delivery of temporary infrastructure, coordinating internal teams and delivery partners
- Participate in the Venue Integration Group (VIG) to align infrastructure with operational requirements
- Prepare progress reports and assist in overall schedule governance
- Travel as needed to venues across Italy
- Comply with health and safety policies of Milano Cortina 2026
Education & Qualifications - University degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Project Management
Experience - Previous experience as a Planner or Program Coordinator for large-scale events (e.g. Olympic Games, multi-sport events, cultural festivals)
- Background in Organising Committees or delivery of major infrastructure programs is a plus
Knowledge & Skills - Solid understanding of temporary infrastructure delivery for sport events (planning, design, procurement, site management)
- Ability to coordinate complex schedules with multiple stakeholders
- Familiar with project management tools and methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication and teamwork abilities
IT Proficiency - Proficient in MS Project, Smartsheet, and MS Office Suite
Languages - Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are an asset
Other Requirements - Available to travel across the Milano Cortina 2026 venues
- EU passport or valid work permit required
