Our client is a global automotive leader active in the Commercial & Specialty Vehicles, Powertrain, and related Financial Services arenas. The group is approximately 34,000 people around the world and has 29 manufacturing plants and 31 R&D centers. We are hiring a Manufacturing Project Manager.
Responsabilities and activities: - Oversee manufacturing processes from pre- to post-production startup;
- Implement and coordinate technical and production activities throughout the project phase in coordination with the Manufacturing and technology function managers;
- Define Manufacturing investments, with the support of Plant Manufacturing and functional teams, of new projects by coordinating all phases of development and consolidation;
- Elaborate feasibility studies and analysis evaluating different scenarios and supporting the management in decision making;
- Responsibility for project budget coordination;
- Interact with functional teams for lean manufacturing process analysis;
- Be involved proactively in the design of Work Environment Safety, design countermeasures to eliminate risk phases.
- Support production during start-up phases with related equipment and layout modification/implementation;
- Coordinate installation and MAP phases and ensure respect of planning;
Planning - Managing the timelines and various activities required to complete the project within the set deadlines
Business Case Drafting - Drafting of the various business cases related to specific projects;
Cost control - Economic resources management within budget.
Risk Management and problem solving - Coordinating the resources involved in the project ensuring that different tasks are carried out with quality of outcome and adherence to schedule
- Graduation in mechanical engineering or similar
- Experience and knowledge of processes such as: assembly, welding; general knowledge of key industrial manufacturing processes
- Previous experience in similar role of PM;
- Knowledge of the automotive environment;
- Language skills: English (written and spoken);
- Investments estimation knowledge about equipment and special purpose in manufacturing process;
- Effective communication and project presentation capacity, time management ability and problem-solving technics knowledge;
- Ability to work in team with accountability and leadership.
- Strongly self-motivated, determined and proactive, result driven;
- Ability to learn and to work in dynamic context
- Sense of initiative, autonomous work organization
