Our client is a large American industrial metalworking group with over 40 production units across Europe. For the Aprilia plant in Lazio, we are looking for a Logistics Manager who will report hierarchically to the plant manager and functionally to the regional supply chain manager.
In this role you are responsible to lead the team in charge of production scheduling, warehouse, raw materials and finished goods dispatching. You supervise the work of all your team members, in order to meet the agreed customer delivery date (OTIF) in the most effective and optimal way. You ensure that the budget targets (KPI) for logistics are being met. You maintain pro-active relationship within the various plant departments.
You have - at least 7 year experience in a Logistics role in a manufacturing environment,
- a working experience in using ERP systems (preferentially SAP),
- have demonstrated experience of structuring and leading teams in Planning, Logistics and Demand management.
- you must be familiar with S&OP and S&OE concepts, you have the ability to work under pressure and build plans to achieve Inventory, OTIF and production optimization targets.
- Have a robust knowledge of logistics activities connected with production and materials planning, combined with continuous improvement tools and problem-solving and decision making skills (mandatory high level in MS Excel and preferential experience in SAP IBP).
- Strong leadership and team working skills are essential as well as the ability to drive change through others.
- You should be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- You are fluent in Italian and in English.
